We welcome our local veterans and community members into North Putnam Middle/High School for our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony. This year it will be on Friday, November 10th at 10:30 AM.

Our Spell Bowl team competed in the Area Contest at Cascade last night. Though we lost 3 of our spellers to illness and 1 to other circumstances. the 5 who competed spelled 33 of 45 words correctly.
The following students scored Near Perfect rounds at the Area Contest at Cascade on Monday evening- Aaron Miles, Keaton O'Mullane, Maelyn Gibbs. That means they correctly spelled 8 of 9 words correctly.
Also competing last night and performing well were Adam Grajewski and Shelby Merrill. Please congratulate these students for our 2nd place Area finish in Class 3.

First Stop >>> Italy
October begins our adventure around the world with our new Global Eats Program. The school cafeteria is often one of the first places a child gets to taste and learn about foods from outside their family’s recipes or traditional cultural dishes. Highlighting the unique ingredients and authentic flavors from cuisines around the world, Chartwells K12 is launching a new program called Global Eats!
Elementary - A prop kitchen will be set, as a "Coming Soon" with Italia decor followed by a Taste Testing of an authentic cuisine the following day. We would love it if you would like to join in, or get the Student Council involved to pass out samples to keep the students in place. A featured recipe will also be served in the cafeteria in the month of October.
Secondary - Featured Recipes will be served in the cafeteria in the month of October several times a week. We will give the Students a chance to Vote on their favorite Recipe.
The exploration continues beyond the cafeteria with the Global Eats website, www.K12GlobalEats.com, which features chef and recipe videos and fun activities for students, families, and teachers.
